RIP Old, Wild Transfer Portal?

The powers that be at NCAA HQ have dropped a one-time-only transfer portal rule on college football. NIL expert Griffin Olah joins to explain.
  • Oh: Olah didn’t see this coming—along with the rest of us in CFB Week 5

  • Oof: All college football players can now transfer once during a calendar year

  • Wow: January/February is projected target date though nothing finalized

  • Whoa: The deadline for signing high school athletes is now November 15 & December is now a recruiting dead period

  • Grade School: new segment, Brian’s grading all the biggest stories of the week

F: which team drew thousands for a pregame event and went home sad?

D: who watched their rival in a lower rung score 43 last week on the same opp?

C: why weren’t these guys ranked in the Top 25 earlier?!

(NO B’s or A’s were handed out this week … for obvious reasons)

IT IS OUR 100TH EPISODE!!! 🎉

  • Soccer Sheena returns with a look back at how we got to 100, talks about today’s sad state of sports journalism that has one local beat writer selling ball caps at the event he’s covering

#whatarewedoing Of The Week: The Utah MUSS cannot stay for the whole game?!?

Also: Utah fans show up hours before Utah-Texas Tech game at FOX Big Noon Kickoff, thousands were at BNK across from Rice-Eccles Stadium by 5am, Dave Portnoy picks Texas Tech instead of Utah and calls Coach Whit Kyle Willingham, Real Salt Lake loses 4-1 to LAFC twice in one week, Wisconsin Badger fans want Luke Fickell gone, opponent steps on Tennessee kicker’s foot, the MUSS needs its fan license revoked, Arch Manning trash talks a much lesser opponent and the 18th anniversary of Mike Gundy’s famous rant.

Here’s a flashback to when I had more hair, less weight and made my own parody:

  • If you’ve heard Westside Sportzz, our new high school sports talk show that ONLY covers Salt Lake’s West side Fridays, our reporter A-Dawg is tearing it up! Giving injury reports & all!! He could use your help earning some new basketball shoes for his team (tread on his old ones are gone). Give him a hand, below:
